Mujahideen In Somalia Claim Success
Units
of Somali Mujahideen, who waging armed struggle against Ethiopian occupation
troops, continue to liberate cities and town from Ethiopian invaders.
According latest reports Mujahideen of "Al-Shabab" have gained substantial
territorial control in south and central Somalia in the past 24 hours.
Districts in Middle Shabelle, Bay and Middle Juba regions have fallen to the
Mujahideen.
Bu'ale, Qansax Dhere and Ufurow districts in the Bay and Middle Juba regions are
the latest to come under the control of the Mujahideen. Even Daynunay, a village
27 kilometres northeast of Baidoa, the seat of the "Transitional Federal
Parliament", is now controlled by "Al-Shabaab", according to statement made by
Sheikh Mukhtar Robow Abu Mansur, the movement's spokesman.
Western media indicate that the fighting for the city of Jawhar was the most
violent. Over the past month, this city three times passed around.
"We arrived and secured the town," said
Abdirahim Isa Adow, a spokesman for Somali Mujahideen.
"It is not in our plans to remain in Jawhar."
Mujahideen took the town of Qansax Dhere for the first time. In past few weeks,
by surprise attacks "Al-Shabaab" fighters succeeded in capturing more than 10
towns.
Puppet gangs backed by Ethiopian occupation forces and the US are unable to
control territory of the country, they focused their attention on the capital
Mogadishu, trying to confront the Mujahideen attacks there.
